Planning a birthday invitation sounds simple until you're chasing RSVPs across three group chats, fielding last-minute dietary requests, and trying to figure out how many people are actually coming.

A clean RSVP page fixes most of that. One link, one place for guests to reply, and all the details - venue, dress code, plus-ones, dietary notes - in one place. Here's what to think about before you send it.

How it works

  1. 1. Pick a design and add your details

Choose a template, then add the date, venue and anything guests need to know. It takes a few minutes.

  2. 2. Share one link

Send it by email, text or WhatsApp, or let Invitify email your guest list for you.

  3. 3. Watch the replies come in

RSVPs, dietary needs and plus-ones land in one guest list, with reminders sent for you.

Planning tips

Send invites 3–4 weeks ahead

Two weeks is the minimum for a local dinner or drinks. If guests need to travel, book hotels, or arrange childcare, give them 6–8 weeks.

Set a firm RSVP deadline

Put the deadline in the invite itself, not just in a follow-up. A week before the event gives you enough time to finalise numbers with the venue.

Collect dietary requirements upfront

Ask in the RSVP form, not the day before. Even a simple dietary field saves a panicked round of messages later.

Be clear on the plus-one policy

Decide before the invite goes out. Vague wording leads to awkward conversations. State it plainly - guests respect clarity.

Keep the RSVP form short

Guests are more likely to respond if it takes under a minute. Only ask for what you'll actually use - name, reply, dietary needs, plus-one.

Put everything in one place

Full address, start time, dress code, and parking or transport notes. Reduces the messages asking 'where exactly are we going?'

Pick one, add your details, and share. You can switch designs at any time before you publish.

Common questions

How far in advance should I send birthday invites?

3–4 weeks is standard for a local event. If guests need to travel, arrange accommodation, or sort childcare, aim for 6–8 weeks. Sending earlier costs nothing; sending too late leads to lower attendance.

Should I collect dietary requirements?

Yes, if there's any kind of meal involved - a sit-down dinner, afternoon tea, or catered buffet. For casual drinks it's less critical, but it's always worth asking. Better to have the information and not need it.

What should a birthday RSVP page include?

At a minimum: event name, date, time, full venue address, dress code, RSVP deadline, and a way to collect dietary requirements and plus-one preferences. A short note from the host makes it feel personal.

What is the easiest way to manage birthday RSVPs?

The easiest way is to use one online RSVP link where guests can reply, add dietary requirements, and see the event details. It keeps everything out of group chats and gives the host one clear guest list.

Can I use these templates for any type of birthday?

Yes. The templates work for milestone birthdays, children's parties, family dinners, drinks nights, and anything in between. You change the details - the structure handles the rest.

Can guests RSVP without creating an account?

Yes. Guests open the invite link and submit their reply without signing up for anything.
