Children's parties have their own logistics. You're really inviting the parents, who need to know about drop-off and pick-up, whether siblings can come, and what to do about allergies. And you need numbers early, because soft-play centres and party venues charge per child.

Paper invites in book bags get lost, and class WhatsApp groups bury replies in a scroll of messages. One link parents can open on their phone, reply to in seconds and check later for the address is far less hassle for everyone.

How it works

  1. 1. Pick a design and add your details

Choose a template, then add the date, venue and anything guests need to know. It takes a few minutes.

  2. 2. Share one link

Send it by email, text or WhatsApp, or let Invitify email your guest list for you.

  3. 3. Watch the replies come in

RSVPs, dietary needs and plus-ones land in one guest list, with reminders sent for you.

Kids' birthday party invitation wording ideas

Copy any of these into your invite and make it your own.

Soft play
Oscar is turning 6! Come and bounce, climb and slide with us at Jungle Jim's Soft Play on Saturday 6 March, 2-4pm. Party food and cake included. Please reply by 24 February.
Drop-off
This is a drop-off party - you're welcome to stay for a cuppa, but there's no need. Pick-up is at 4pm from the party room.
Siblings
Siblings are welcome to come along - just add their name when you reply so we can plan food and party bags.
Allergies
Please let us know about any allergies or dietary needs when you reply, and we'll make sure there's something safe and tasty for everyone.
Whole class
We're inviting everyone in Year 1, so no need to worry about who's coming - just let us know if your little one can make it.

Planning tips

Send invites 3–4 weeks ahead

Weekends fill up fast with clubs, sport and other parties. Three to four weeks is the sweet spot; much more and parents forget, much less and diaries are full.

Ask about allergies on the RSVP

Make dietary requirements part of the reply, not a follow-up message. You'll know about nut, dairy or gluten allergies before you order the food.

Be clear about drop-off and pick-up

Say whether parents should stay or drop off, and give an exact pick-up time and place. For younger children, assume parents will stay.

Decide on siblings early

Siblings can double a guest list. If they're welcome, ask parents to add names when they reply; if not, say so kindly in the invite.

Ask for a parent contact

Collect a parent's name with the RSVP so you know who to contact on the day if a child is late, unwell or needs collecting early.

Keep it to two hours

For most ages, two hours is plenty - long enough for play, food and cake without the meltdowns. Put the end time on the invite.

Pick one, add your details, and share. You can switch designs at any time before you publish.

Common questions

How far in advance should you send kids' birthday party invitations?

Three to four weeks before the party. It's enough notice for busy families without being so early that parents forget. Set the RSVP deadline about ten days before, so you can confirm numbers with the venue.

What should a children's party invitation include?

The child's name and age, the date, start and end time, the full venue address, whether it's drop-off or parents stay, pick-up details, what to wear, the RSVP deadline, and a request for allergies or dietary needs.

Do you have to invite the whole class?

Many schools encourage it if invites are handed out in class, so nobody feels left out. If you're only inviting a few friends, send the link privately to those parents rather than handing invites out at school.

How do I handle food allergies at a kids' party?

Ask about allergies on the RSVP, tell the venue in advance, label food clearly and keep allergy-safe options separate. If a child has a severe allergy, check with their parent whether they'd like to stay.

Can parents RSVP without creating an account?

Yes. Parents open the link, reply for their child (and any siblings) and add notes - no account or app needed.

Ready to send the party invite?

Pick a fun design, add the details, and share one link with parents. Replies, siblings and allergies all arrive in one list.
