Choosing a Signature design
How Signature designs differ from regular templates, and how to pick, preview, and switch one.
Signature designs are a set of seven formal, typography-led invitation styles - built for weddings, galas, and black-tie evenings that call for something more restrained than a regular template's bold colours and graphics.
Where a template leads with colour and imagery, a Signature design leads with typeface, spacing, and a monogram - closer to printed stationery than a typical event page.
Choosing a Signature design
- On the first step of the create-event wizard ("Start with the essentials"), find "Choose a style" and switch from the Templates tab to the Signature tab.
- Browse the seven designs - each shows a live sample using your event's host name, date, and location as you type.
- Select a design to apply it. You can change your mind and switch designs, or switch back to a regular template, at any point before publishing.
Preview before you commit
The small live preview updates as you type, but it's a simplified approximation. Use "Open full preview" to see the design exactly as guests will, including its fonts and layout.
What stays the same
- RSVP settings - response options (including Maybe), plus-ones, dietary requirements, meal choices, and reminders all work identically on a Signature design.
- Guest list and RSVP tracking - guests RSVP the same way, and their responses appear on your dashboard exactly like any other event.
- Editing after publishing - you can change your Signature design, or switch formats entirely, from your event's settings at any time.
Signature designs don't use a cover image - the design's own artwork and monogram take its place, so the cover image option is hidden while a Signature design is selected.
Signature designs are free to use during our beta, the same as every other template.
