Fixing an incorrect guest email address

What to do if you've added a guest with a typo or wrong email address.

If you spot a mistake in a guest's email address - before or after sending invites - you can fix it from the event's guest list.

Before invites are sent

Open the guest list, find the guest, and update their email address. The corrected address will be used the next time invites or reminders go out.

After invites have already gone out

  1. Update the guest's email address on the guest list.
  2. If the original invite bounced or never arrived, the guest hasn't seen your event yet - resend their invite if a resend option is available, or share your event's invite link with them directly.
  3. If the guest already RSVPed using a different (correct) address - for example, you sent to the wrong inbox but they found the link another way - their RSVP is still attached to their guest entry and doesn't need to be re-submitted.

Removing and re-adding a guest

Removing a guest also removes their RSVP. If a guest has already responded, prefer editing their email address over removing and re-adding them, so you don't lose their response.

Your own account email is managed separately from guest emails - see "Managing your account" if you need to update the email linked to your Invitify account.
